Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging test, with no radiation, used to examine the abdominal organs (liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen), the kidneys and bladder, the pelvic organs and soft tissues. The result is given at the end of the scan and can be discussed with the specialist who recommended the ultrasound.
